About the Game
Space Pirates takes place on a futuristic pirate spaceship that has recently been attacked. You play as the lone survivor trying to escape before you run out of oxygen.
About the Music
A radio was to still be playing after everyone had to suddenly flee the ship, and what music would be listened to in a space ship in the distant future? Upbeat jazz of course. The music was modified to sound as though it was coming from a small radio.
About the SFX
Subtle but important, the atmosphere was to convey loneliness and included sounds of the ships engine and other computer bleeps. The opening of the ships doors were to be solid, metallic, and heavy, and (just after they open) to include the sound of air pressure being released as the doors had been closed for so long.
